What Is The CAP DDR Program? Chartered to make CAP a drug-free environment Began in 1994 Focused on Air Force family Integrated into Air Force DDR mission Funded by the Air Force Surgeon General Primary emphasis is on CAP Cadet Program 2

DDRP Mission Assist squadrons, groups, wings and regions to instill an aggressive, positive, drug-free attitude in CAP members, Air Force families, DoD civilians and school-age children through a comprehensive program that: Promotes CAP as a positive community service lifestyle Encourages youth to remain in school Focuses on drug abuse education, prevention and awareness Provides positive activities as an alternative 3 to drugs

DDR Program Elements Education Training Community Outreach 5

Education Provides substance abuse materials, classes, lesson plans, videos, posters, and promotional items Provides portable display booths, Fatal Vision goggles, and drug kits to education and promote CAP’s DDRP Utilizes partnerships with Air Force Active Duty, Reserve and National Guard demand reduction programs and resources Encourages partnerships with local substance abuse prevention agencies and coalitions 6

Training Supports DDR officers with training materials and courses DDR training labs at the annual conference Regional training for DDR Coordinators and Administrators Wing training for DDR Officers Tele-training sessions 7

Community Outreach Objective: Be a forefront organization in the community to communicate with other youngsters on issues such as illegal drug use Partner cadets with base and local activities to support anti-drug activities 8
