Navy League Cadets RATES TITLE ADVANCEMENT TRAINING REQUIREMENTS LC-7 / LC6 CADET SHIPS LEADING /PETTY OFFICER 1ST CLASS (PO1) COMPLETE PART-V OF NLCC TRAINING SYLLABUS AND EXAMINATION. HAVE 6 MONTHS IN LC5 RATE AND 23 MONTHS IN THE NLCC LC5 CADET PETTY OFFICER 2ND CLASS(PO2) COMPLETE PART-IV OF NLCC TRAINING SYLLABUS AND EXAMINATION. HAVE 6 MONTHS IN LC4 RATE AND EIGHTEEN MONTHS IN THE NLCC LC4 CADET PETTY OFFICER 3RD CLASS(PO3) COMPLETE PART-III OF NLCC TRAINING SYLLABUS AND EXAMINATION. HAVE 4 MONTHS IN LC3 RATE AND TWELVE MONTHS IN THE NLCC LC3 ABLE CADET (E-3) COMPLETE PART-II OF NLCC TRAINING SYLLABUS AND EXAMINATION. HAVE 4 MONTHS IN LC2 RATE AND EIGHT MONTHS IN THE NLCC LC2 APPRENTICE CADET (E-2) COMPLETE PART-I OF NLCC TRAINING SYLLABUS AND EXAMINATION. HAVE AT LEAST 6 MONTHS IN GRADE AS A CADET PO1 (E-6). PASS A SELECTION BOARD AND BE APPOINTED BY NHQ. CADET PETTY OFFICER 1ST CLASS (E-6) COMPLETE NAVY PO1 LEADERSHIP NON-RESIDENCE CORRESPONDENCE COURSE 14145. SUCCESSFULLY PASS NAVY PO1 LEADERSHIP EXAM AND COMPLETE A TWT CONTINGENT. HAVE AT LEAST 6 MONTHS IN GRADE AS A CADET PO2 (E-5). PASS A SELECTION BOARD AND BE APPOINTED BY NHQ. CADET PETTY OFFICER 2ND CLASS (E-5) COMPLETE A TWO-WEEK TRAINING (TWT) CONTINGENT AND HAVE AT LEAST 6 MONTHS IN GRADE AS A CADET PO3 (E-4) CADET PETTY OFFICER 3RD CLASS (E-4) COMPLETE NAVY PO3/PO2 LEADERSHIP NON-RESIDENCE CORRESPONDENCE COURSE 14504. SUCCESSFULLY PASS NAVY PO3/PO2 LEADERSHIP EXAM AND COMPLETE A TWT CONTINGENT. HAVE AT LEAST 6 MONTHS IN GRADE AS A CADET E-3 CADET SEAMAN, FIREMAN, OR AIRMAN (E-3) MUST COMPLETE EITHER NAVY SEAMAN, FIREMAN, OR AIRMAN NONRESIDENCE CORRESPONDENCE COURSE. COMPLETED A TW0-WEEK NSCC TRAINING CONTINGENT AND HAVE AT LEAST SIX MONTH IN GRADE OF E-2 CADET APPRENTICE SEAMAN COMPLETE NAVY BASIC MILITARY REQUIREMENTS CORRESPONDENCE COURSE AND NSCC RECRUIT TRAINING. MUST HAVE AT LEAST THREE MONTHS IN GRADE OF CADET E-1 CADET SEAMAN RECRUIT ASSIGNED TO X-RAY COMPANY OR SQUAD. MUST BE 13 YEARS OF AGE.

NSCC/NLCC Training National Training Contingents are one to two weeks in duration Orders for National Training Contingents issued by National Headquarters Locally arranged training contingents usually with local ashore and afloat military commands Department of Navy and Marine Corps appropriations help fund costs to cadets Travel funding provided by parents and units

NSCC Recruit Training Enrolled in NSCC for at least 6 weeks Be 14-years of age prior to September 1st of training year Pass physical fitness test prior to attending training Complete Navy Basic Military Requirements (BMR) Non-Residence Correspondence Course Obtain uniform items (Sea Bag) and comply with directives in orders
