SOC WRK 562: Child Welfare & Family Services (2cr) 753 Adult Psychopathology(3cr) or Course Requirements as of Fall 2021 754 Child Psychopathology (2cr) Note: 753 is required for future LCSW (754 will not meet WI Licensing criteria) If student chose 754, they need 1 credit from 821 or 822 for 4 credits 791 School Social Work Practice (3cr)-must be in school field placement School Social Work Field Practicum MSW students: 2-semesters (SOC WRK 721, 722, 821, 822) Post-MSW grads: 1-2 semesters (SOC WRK 921)

Previous Course Requirements SOC WRK 250 Human Development & the Social Environment or (non-degree, certification only) or SOC WRK 705 Individual Behavior and Social Welfare Advance Standing would not have required either course. It would have been satisfied as part of the BSW curriculum SOC WRK 771 Family Development 665 Cultural Diversity (instead of 791 Institutional Racism) No: SOC WRK 562: Child Welfare & Family Services (2cr) **Continuing students from the 2020/2021 academic year will stay on this program**
Field Hours and Expectations: Pandemic Reduction of hours continues for 2021/22 academic year Foundation students - You will need to complete the following 4 courses. **821 and 822 have variable credits** 721 (165 hours & 3 credits) 722 (200 hours & 3 credits) 821 (200 hours and 3 credits OR 250 hours and 4 credits) 822 (200 hours and 3 credits OR 250 hours and 4 credits) Foundation student with an approved 721 field course exemption you will need to complete the following 3 courses. The 721 Field Course Exemption will no longer be available after the 2021/22 academic year. 722 (250 hours & 3 credits) 821 (250 hours and 4 credits) 822 (250 hours and 4 credits) Register for the correct credit hours based on the curriculum established with the MSW Advising Office @ [email protected].
Field Hours and Expectatio ns Advanced Standing students - Students who completed a BSW Program and have advanced standing need to complete the following 3 courses. 722 (200 hours & 3 credits) 821 (200 hours and 3 credits OR 250 hours and 4 credits) 822 (200 hours and 3 credits OR 250 hours and 4 credits) Non Degree/ Post Graduate Students 921 is a variable credit elective course and needs Field Liaison approval for registration Register for the correct credit hours based on the curriculum established with the MSW Advising Office @ [email protected].
Field Hours & Expectations Block Schedule Satisfy 2 semesters of Field in 1 semester 722/821 or 821/822: Double the hours (400 hours) 2-Learning Plans, 2-final evaluations, 10 pts. in assignments No mid-terms Submit plan to Field Liaison Commitment to Placement’s School Schedule Are in schools longer accrue more hours than needed Block can be ideal (Spring gives a jump start) Plan accordingly Incomplete Routine Not available for graduating semester
