SHS Varsity Boys’ Basketball Team #2 in Region 9th Grade Boys’ Basketball Team made it to championship game JV Boys’ Basketball 2nd Round of Playoffs SHS Good News Coane Pross signed with Fort Valley State University Kristian Phillips signed with Michigan State University Damien Lane- 1 of 10 Finalists (out of 600 submissions) for Atlanta Falcons Man of the Year Award Jan. PBIS Student Celebration for exhibiting the NOLES expectation of being “Safe”

PBIS Popcorn Fundraiser We were able to earn 608.00!!! A special thanks goes out to each of you who were able to support the team!!! All proceeds go toward student and staff recognition. Here are the latest event details: Total sales: 608.00 Event earnings: 304.00 Supports can expect their Double Good popcorn to arrive at their doorstep within 1-2 weeks from the time they place their order Our next Double Good Fundraiser will be March 28th - April 1st

Other School Business Black History Program- Fine Arts and Social Studies Collaboration Saturday School- Remediation and Credit Recovery will begin Feb. 12 Spring Musical- The Lion King Students took the STAR Reading and Math in December RCPS Technology and Engineering Fair (begins Feb. 4) Basketball Senior Night- Feb. 11 National School Counselor Week Feb. 7-11 Decrease in students performing at beginning level as compared to the 1st administration Majority of students scored in Level 2 While still an area for growth more students scored level 4 (Distinguished- highest level) Students took the HMH Reading Inventory in Jan. (for L4GA Literacy Grant)

Additional Information SEL Lessons will be conducted in 3rd Period Counselors are in the process of student advisement (9th and 10th grade students) Promote with your students and other parents to take advantage of AP Courses SAT/ACT Prep Course (11th grade) AVID- Advancement via Individual Determination College Prep- Note Taking, Organization, Time Management, College Research and Visits Pathway Courses (3 years for Pathway Completion)
