PUBLIC DHL EXPRESS UPDATE WORKING IN THE ‘NEW NORMAL’ DHL Express COVID-19 UK Update 19 June 2020 3

PUBLIC Message from Ian Wilson CEO, DHL Express UK & Ireland It goes without saying that this remains an extremely challenging time for all businesses, but for organisations like ours that remained operational throughout lockdown, there is definitely now a sense of working in the ‘new normal’. At the start of the pandemic, the business conditions changed overnight, and we all had to react at speed to the lockdown and everything that meant for our businesses, our employees and their families. I am incredibly proud of our hard-working teams here at DHL. We rapidly changed our processes to be able to deliver safely, and have needed to continuously adapt our network to respond to reduced air capacity and changing flows of trade as the virus spread across the globe. I am also incredibly proud to have been able to support your business throughout this crisis, and despite challenges, we’ve endeavoured to keep reaching your global customers as quickly as we possibly could. So, at this time, I want to reassure you that we’re here, working well in this new environment, and we’ll continue to adapt and deliver. 4

PUBLIC GLOBAL SERVICE UPDATE ADAPTING OUR NETWORK IN CHANGING TIMES DHL Express COVID-19 UK Update 19 June 2020 6

PUBLIC Global Service Update DHL Express services are operational across the world The situation continues to be dynamic, therefore we are constantly adapting our network to mitigate the impact of the virus as the situation evolves in each country The cancellation of commercial flights has meant that material has needed to move away from usual routes. The reduction in available commercial air cargo capacity and destinations has necessitated a switch to more indirect routings and the purchase of additional cargo aircraft lift, which is in high demand. Transit times are therefore temporarily adjusted to many locations. The latest service update can be found at https://www.simplydhl.com/covid-19updates DHL Express COVID-19 UK Update 19 June 2020 DHL Globalmail service The DHL Globalmail service has been temporarily suspended to a number of countries. PUBLIC FINANCE IMPORTANT POINTS TO NOTE DHL Express COVID-19 UK Update 19 June 2020 13

PUBLIC Emergency Situation Surcharge The Emergency Situation Surcharge (ESS) was introduced on 1 April and adjusted on 24 May to cover part of the operating cost increases and the necessary air network adjustments required at this time. The ESS adjustment reflects the changing dynamics in the market and the ongoing challenges to secure available air capacity. The adjusted ESS charge will reflect the peak cost levels on different trade lanes and will change from a charge per shipment to a charge per kilogram (kg) in order to maintain a more gradual pricing model. The mechanism for this surcharge is as follows: DHL Express COVID-19 UK Update 19 June 2020 This is not applicable to Life Science and Healthcare customers or DHL Medical Express (WMX) shipments. 14

PUBLIC Further adjusting the Emergency Situation Surcharge We will continue to evaluate and adjust the Emergency Situation Surcharge (ESS). As market conditions continue to evolve with the ongoing COVID-19 situation, the Emergency Situation Surcharge (ESS) will be adjusted downwards effective 1 July 2020. This ESS adjustment reflects changes in market dynamics and air capacity availability. Given expected reductions to our additional costs out of China and Hong Kong, we will make a downward adjustment for the charge per kilogram from China to destinations in Europe and the Americas, and from China and Hong Kong to Australia and New Zealand as highlighted below: The ESS continues to not be applicable to Life Science and Healthcare customers or DHL Medical Express DHL Express COVID-19 UK Update 19 June 2020 (WMX) shipments. 15

PUBLIC Payment of Invoices We appreciate that this is a difficult time for all businesses, however we need to request that you adhere to your usual payment terms please. As you’re aware, the cancellation of commercial flights has meant that material has needed to move away from usual routes. The reduction in available commercial air cargo capacity and destinations has necessitated a switch to more indirect routings and the purchase of additional cargo aircraft lift, which is in high demand, at high cost and with strict payment terms, increasingly requiring advance payment. Standard payment terms for shipping charges are 30 days from date of invoice, with invoices issued on a weekly basis. The standard payment terms for duty and VAT charges are 7 days from date of invoice. This requires payments to also be on a weekly cycle, with, for example, the first March shipping invoice falling due for payment early in April and so on. The government has made significant financial support available to businesses. The support available for Businesses Trading Internationally can be found here. China – Export regulations for nonmedical face masks and medical supplies PUBLIC China has introduced regulations focussed on the export of non-medical use face masks and medical supplies that are not registered with China FDA. For non-medical use face masks: In accordance with China’s quality standards, the exporter needs to check that the manufacturer is not listed on the State Administration for Market Regulation (SAMR) ‘black list’. If the manufacturer is not listed, both the exporter and importer are required to sign a declaration, which is required for outbound customs clearance in China. The manufacturer should also be listed on MOFCOM (Ministry of Commerce, People’s Republic of China) ‘face masks whitelist’. The exporter also needs to ensure that the shipment conforms with destination quality standards. DHL Express COVID-19 UK Update 19 June 2020 18
