University Health Center Immunization Routine immunizations are available for students, faculty and staff at UHS. Incoming students will need documentation of MMR vaccine. Travel vaccines and immunizations are also available.

University Health Center Flash Clinic Pharmacy The University Health Services The pharmacy at University Health Services fills prescriptions and provides over-the-counter medications to students, faculty and staff of Kent State University. In addition to the convenience provided to students, many items can be purchased at considerable cost savings. FlashClinic is a walk-in clinic on the Lower Level of the DeWeese Health Center, sharing a space with the Women's Clinic. The FlashClinic is staffed by Nurse Practitioners and is open to Kent State University students, faculty, and staff. No appointment is necessary.

University Health Center: Women’s Clinic The University Health Services Women’s Clinic is located on the lower level of the DeWeese Health Center and is staffed by clinicians experienced in women’s healthcare and committed to working with you regarding your health. We believe health involves not only physical, but emotional, social, and spiritual well-being. We are experienced and sensitive in dealing with patients of all sexual orientations and cultural beliefs. We also have specialized exam tables to accommodate women with disabilities.

All frees are negotiated in the case of great finance need.

LGBTQ Student Center The Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender and Queer Plus (LGBTQ ) Center is dedicated to providing the students, faculty and staff at Kent State University with education, training, support and resources that cater to the gender and sexual minority community and its allies. The center is a welcoming environment to LGBTQ students and their allies. The informed staff strives to educate the campus community about sexual orientation and gender identity to ensure Kent State University remains a safe space for all students. The center provides rescores and support for members of the LGBTQ community in the forms of clubs, mentor program (Quest), crisis intervention, and emergency funds.

Green Dot Green Dot is a movement using the power of cultural and peer influence to prevent power-based personal violence. A Green Dot is a single choice in one moment in time to us your voice, actions or choices to make one small corner of the world safer. Green Dot provides work shops to help prevent powerbased violence and provides support for victims of such crimes.

Women’s Center Dedicated to diversity and inclusion, the Women’s Center leads and supports events for equality of female identifying students, faculty and staff though services, education and outreach. The Women’s Center runs programs such as the career closet, the SAGE project, Mothers, Mentors and Muses, (R)evolution Women’s Leadership Program and Women’s Center Action Counsel.

Title IX Title IX of the federal Education Amendments of 1972 prohibits discrimination on the basis of a person's gender in educational programs or activities operated by recipients of federal funding, such as Kent State. While it is often thought of as a law that applies only to athletic programs, Title IX is much broader and protects all students, employees, and visitors to campus from gender discrimination. Services Offered: Title IX workshops for Faculty, Staff and Students, Sexual and Relationship Violence Support Services, University policy regarding unlawful discrimination and harassment, Administrative policy regarding complaints of gender discrimination, sexual harassment, and sexual misconduct, Title IX online training and other resources.

Tech Help Service and Repair Center Located in the triroutunda, the service and repair center fixes structural and hard wear issues on computers and phones. Tech Help Located in the library, the tech help services work with software downloads, file protection and vires detection.

Safety Resources

Security The Security Aide program is comprised of approximately 65 trained students employed by the Department of Residence Services. Security Aides are responsible for patrolling the residence halls and providing campus escorts between the hours of 8 p.m. and 2:30 a.m. Sunday – Wednesday, and between the hours of 8:00 p.m. and 4:00 a.m. Thursday – Saturday. Escorts are available throughout the campus when Security Aides are on duty. To get an escort contact the Security Aide dispatcher at 27004 or ask a Security Aide. The presence of Security Aides in the halls is intended to serve as a deterrent to crime and other problems. Each Security Aide is required to complete a 100 hour training program yearly. Security Aides are in direct contact with each other and the campus police department via two-way radios. Additional responsibilities include checking fire equipment, assisting in emergencies, and checking locked entrance doors.
