Key Information about MIS SS Will determine up to 60% of total funding for 3SP programs (40% based on headcount of credit, CA resident students) However, 80% of prior year funding is guaranteed for the 1st year of implementation; the following year, 50% Data from MIS SS Will be subject to audits Expected to be used for research-- assess outcomes of SS activities Quantitative approach to data analysis/research Whole sum of all the parts (breakdown of data based on factors or independent variables) Test for discrepancies in the data To maximize funds: Services provided by the college is based on student headcount; thus reach out and try to serve as may students as possible.

Orientation in Special Programs: Substantive versus Follow-up? “Before enrolling in the cohort, all Puente students are required to attend a mandatory Puente Program Orientation and COUN 200X class specifically designed for incoming students going into any of our SSRS program.” (program website) “Summer Bridge is a program designed to ease your transition from high school to college. Summer Bridge students take two courses, HUMA 20 -"Life Skills for Higher Education" and COUN 200 "Orientation to College".
