The US is facing a tremendous shortage of nurses and nurse educators.
The Baby Boom population is aging and increasing the need for nurses. Only 5.5% of the entire RN population are males. Community nursing or military nursing, were never considered.
JCCC is committed to making a difference.

Identification and Recruitment of Instructors
Recruiting Program Participants Attention Guys: If you will be a high school student this fall and enjoy guts, glory and brain puzzles, then this program is for you. You will perform CPR, keep patient records, solve medical mysteries, and work with a simulated patient that actually screams and yells! In addition, you will learn about nursing opportunities for men including an opportunity to meet male nurses and health professionals in the field. Lunch is provided. To register, call WCED Registration at 913-469-2323 or go to www.jccc.edu/youth. For more information, contact Phil Wegman at 913-469-4446.
