Why Interface Tools? Problems Solution You want to allow your user to Make it an app! provide input when a workflow is run but you don’t necessarily want them to be touching the tools in the workflow. OR You are tired of having to update the same thing every time you run your workflow to provide a new parameter (date, file location, vendor name, etc.) OR You want your workflow to be a bit more ad hoc – pick a different value every time, allow for more flexibility, etc. 9 Confidential 2021 Alteryx, Inc. Specify which elements can be selected by the user, and then assign “Actions” to those inputs in your workflow to update specific logic/elements at run time.

Format your app interface for clarity & ease of use: Provide info to your user about any requirements. This is big – why the change? – Gallery is an important experience and product for many users, and it just makes sense that it lives on Community moving forward. After all, it’s where everyone interacts and learns already! When is this happening? – The official changeover will occur before Dec 31, 2021, be on the lookout for more specifics in the coming months and check out the blog in the meantime! How will this affect how we use the platform? – The move to community provides an enhanced opportunity to be able to share and interact with user-created assets in a meaningful way and the experience will only level up over time. This change will not affect your company’s private Alteryx Server installation. – Following the launch of Gallery on Community, the gallery.alteryx.com website will shut down at the end of the year.
