REGISTRATION The Field Day Contest Log is limited to 30 contacts until registered. Use the following registration number: 45854 (To be used by NOARC only – do not pass on)

INITIAL SETUP After installing and when starting the program, a popup to setup the common fields should appear. Fill it in as shown but use your own call sign and initials for operator. The Latitude and Longitude shown here is for Warrior’s Hall. The class is for 5 transmitters. Select Band and Mode from the menu bar and set each.

NETWORK Verify your computer has an Ethernet RJ45 connector. Connect to the switch. We will hopefully have 5 computers networked by Ethernet. A 6th computer will act as a data server. All will be connected to a Catalyst 3560 Ethernet Switch along with an Internet Hot Spot.

NETWORK In the N3FJP software, select the Network tab Put in the station name Enter “DESKTOP-MVR53’ for the Server Name Port should be 1000 As each of the computers come on line they will appear in the green boxes depending on mode and band. We should avoid having any two stations on the same band.

OPTIONAL RIG INTERFACE If you plan on interfacing the software with your rig, pull down the Settings Tab to Rig Interface. Since each rig is different, you will have to figure out the settings

OPERATION Only three items have to be entered for each QSO. Call Class Section Then hit Enter Data will be logged. When making contact, the script will be: “W4AAZ 5A NFL” You will not need to give name or signal report.

OPERATION The rest of the program display is of contacts and status.

OPERATION Top window is for recent contacts. Each contact completed will appear here and eventually scroll off. Recent Contacts The logging entry window Warning and Message window. In this example there is a possible duplicate warning when WB6EZQ was entered. Warnings and Messages

OPERATION Score window. Keeps a running tab on your score. Section window. Sections will turn blue when you have a contact from that section. Try to get them all.

OPERATION And finally, the bottom status bar The frequency will show only if your radio is linked to this program. And if you are linked to your radio, you can change band and mode only by changing it on the radio. Have Fun
