Information Packet Please email [email protected] to request the Information Packet for the EMT Program if you have not already done so. The information packet contains the application needed to apply to the EMT Program and detailed application, eligibility, and admissions requirements. Applicants must ensure they are reviewing the most up-to-date information packet as policies and procedures are subject to change. Please note this video is only a BRIEF OVERVIEW of the requirements to apply to the EMT Program, for a FULL OVERVIEW of the requirements, applicants must read the entire information packet thoroughly.
Program Overview There are no prerequisites needed before applying to the EMT Program Program Length: 1 semester (Approx. 5 months) Credit Hours: 12 credit hours (full-time) Schedule: 4 days a week, Day or Evening Shift Clinicals: Rotating shifts (24 hr shifts) towards the end of the semester Students will need to have: 1. Reliable Transportation 2. Reliable Internet Connection outside of class 3. A Flexible Schedule (for clinical shifts)
EMT Career o After completing EMT Program, students will be eligible to test for the National Registry and apply to obtain their State Certification o Students who pass the National Registry exam and obtain their State Certification can begin working immediately as an EMT o EMT students can apply for the Paramedicine Program which admits every Fall semester o Paramedicine Certificate Program is 1 year long (August-August), Paramedicine Associate Program is 2 years long (including prerequisites)

Applicatio n Requireme nts 1. Apply to Grayson College 2. Complete Application for Admission 3. Completed Verification Statement 4. Copy of transcripts from all colleges or universities 5. Pre-Entrance Physical Exam and Health Statement 6. Documentation of Immunizations* *must have all immunizations complete before the start of clinicals Final Acceptance Requirements (performed after admittance into program): 7. Pass a urine drug screen 8. Pass a criminal background 9. Documentation of clinical readiness (Physical Exam and Health Statement, immunization record).
