ASSOCIATES OF APPLIED SCIENCE IN NURSING Program launched in 2013 Accredited through Accrediting Commission on Education in Nursing (ACEN) 19 month program (80 consecutive weeks) Pre-requisite courses included in the 19 month program Classes start every 20 weeks Class delivery: lectures, labs, simulations and clinical rotations State of the Art Simulation Lab Nursing Success Center – Free Tutoring NCLEX-RN prep course built into curriculum, includes live course review at the end

ADMISSIONS REQUIREMENTS All students are required to take TEAS exam, and pass with a composite 60 or higher in order to be eligible to continue in the admissions process Students can take the test twice per admitting period (20-weeks), but no more than four times total. Once a student has successfully passed the ATI TEAS exam, they are required to submit a 12-panel drug screen within 3days of passing the exam. Failure to complete drug screen within the 3-day timeframe is an automatic failed drug screen

CLINICAL ADMISSION PACKET Students are required to submit the following documentation for clinical admission Proof of negative PPD/TB/QuantiFERON Gold or Chest X-ray Proof of either two (2) MMR vaccinations –OR- a Positive Titer Proof of a Positive Hepatitis B Titer Proof of either two (2) Varicella vaccinations –OR- a Positive Titer Proof of current Tdap (tetanus, pertussis and diphtheria) vaccination Proof of current flu vaccination Proof of current Covid vaccination Proof of valid Passport/Passport card or Military ID (for access to military clinicals) Proof of valid Driver’s License or State ID Proof of Medical Insurance Bring Nursing Admissions Requirements to your medical provider to review the requirements for immunizations for the program. If you are missing anything from the list, your medical provider can provide a plan to ensure you have the immunizations required. During this appointment, please also have them review the Core Performance Standards. At that time, obtain your medical providers signature that you meet and have documents to support all requirements (both immunization and core performance).

STATE & NATIONAL BACKGROUND CHECK Student are required to submit to both a state and national background check Charter College pays for the following background checks: National Background Check Anchorage campus: Alaska Department of Health and Social Services Background Check State background check system Most students are required to submit fingerprints to accompany their background check application Salt Lake campus: Passing a background check means no criminal convictions as defined by the Utah Division of Professional Licensing ( https://dopl.utah.gov/nursing/criminal-history-guidelines/)
