Comite River Diversion Overview Project Description/Scope Originally Authorized in 1995 Funds appropriated by BBA-18 (PL-115-123) Provide flood risk management to the southern portion of the Comite River Basin through construction of the following project features: Diversion Channel Control structure at the Comite River Control structure at Lilly Bayou Four drop structures Two railroad bridges Four highway bridges and one parish road bridge Clearing and Snagging Estimated project cost - 343M Required project completion date – July 2021 BUILDING STRONG
